Our Vision:
Alleviation and Eradication for the Emancipation
of our Youth and to the glory of God alone.
What is Moral Poverty?
Fruit of Salem (FOS) coined this term to mean the unprecedented decline in morality
among children and young adults today. Drug abuse and irresponsible sexual behaviour are among activities which are on the
rise and are the order of the day in many Kenyan and Ugandan schools. The skills with which vices are kept hidden from even
the most keen of parents today, would make anyone question the direction in which our region, and the world at large, is going.
But there is hope, and FOS knows for a fact that God has not given up on His
children.
FOS is keen to encourage effective Christian living and see God raise up responsible
adults who delight themselves in the LORD and are unashamed of their calling; a generation of people who are faithful to fight
the good fight and run the race, letting their lights shine for God's glory.
Our aim is to encourage this generation, prophesied about by the Psalmist in
Psalm 102:18, to praise God - not just in lip-service, but in everything they do - with every fragment of their being.
We are a young ministry, but we are prayerfully obedient to God's admonition
through His faithful Apostle Paul: "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in
conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity..." (2 Tim 4:12), and we raise our voices to encourage
our brothers and sisters to do the same.
